Our Mission

Our Mission

London Drivers Voice exists to report on the working conditions, regulation, and economic pressures affecting London’s licensed private hire vehicle drivers — a workforce of around 110,000 people whose livelihoods are shaped by platforms, regulators, and technologies that rarely answer to them.

We are independent. London Drivers Voice is published by Veritux Ltd and is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any operator, platform, union, or political organisation. The publication is self-financed and carries no advertising from the companies we report on. Where the author of an article has a personal connection to its subject — including union membership or direct experience as a working driver — that connection is disclosed in the article.

We hold power to account through fair process: named organisations receive a right of reply before publication, responses are published in full, fact and opinion are clearly distinguished, and errors are corrected with equal prominence. London Drivers Voice is regulated by Impress and publishes under the Impress Standards Code. Our Editorial Standards & Ethics Policy, Corrections Policy, and Complaints procedure are published in full.

Our test for every story is simple: does it help London’s PHV drivers understand the forces acting on their livelihoods — and does it give the institutions shaping those forces a fair chance to answer?
