Corrections Policy

About This Publication

Corrections Policy

When we get something wrong, we say so — promptly, clearly, and at the top of the original article. This page explains how our corrections process works and logs every significant correction we have made.

Our Commitment

We correct factual errors promptly. When London Drivers Voice publishes something that is factually incorrect, we correct it as soon as we become aware of the error — regardless of how the error came to our attention.

We are transparent about corrections. Corrections are published at the top of the original article with the date they were made. We do not silently edit published articles without acknowledgement.

We log significant corrections. Any correction that materially changes the meaning of an article is recorded in the corrections log below.

We do not delete articles to avoid accountability. If an article contains a fundamental error that cannot be corrected without misleading readers, we will add a prominent notice to the top of the article explaining the issue.

How to Report an Error

If you believe London Drivers Voice has published something factually incorrect, please contact us:

Email: press@londondriversvoice.org

Please include the headline or URL of the article, the specific claim you believe is inaccurate, and the evidence you are relying on. We will acknowledge your email within 5 working days and respond within 20 working days.

What We Will Do

Minor errors (spelling, punctuation, formatting) are corrected silently with no log entry required.

Factual errors (incorrect dates, figures, names, or statements of fact) are corrected with a visible correction notice added to the top of the article, dated. A log entry is made below.

Significant errors (errors that materially affect the meaning, fairness, or accuracy of an article) are corrected as above, and we will contact any person or organisation that may have been unfairly affected.

Right of reply is offered to any organisation or individual who believes they were not given adequate opportunity to respond before publication.

Corrections Log

All significant corrections made to London Drivers Voice articles are recorded here in reverse chronological order, covering a rolling 12-month period in line with the Impress Regulatory Scheme.

Date Article What was corrected
25 September 2026 London’s First Robotaxi Licence, Two Weeks On The article said TfL had imposed a hard cap of 15 vehicles on the Uber/Wayve robotaxi trial, a power TfL says it lacks over ordinary PHVs, and that TfL had not explained the legal basis. TfL told LDV on 21 August that the application was for 15 vehicles and that it limited its approval of Wayve’s vehicle modification, not the number of licences. The article has been corrected and retitled, and TfL’s response published in full. LDV apologises for the delay in correcting it.
25 September 2026 London Has Had Too Many Minicabs for 15 Years The headline and article said TfL had capped the robotaxi trial at 15 vehicles, showing that limiting vehicle numbers was legally possible. That was wrong, for the reason above. The headline and relevant sections have been corrected. A table that mixed licensed driver and vehicle figures has also been clarified.
25 September 2026 Homepage and Take Action page Removed the same “cap” claim from the homepage and the MP email template. Replaced an unsourced figure of 110,000 London private hire drivers with TfL’s figure of 94,258 licensed private hire vehicles.
20 April 2026 The Airport Trap Corrected the location of the driver waiting area, which is at the South Terminal, not the North Terminal as originally stated.

This corrections policy was adopted in May 2026. It should be read alongside our full Editorial Standards & Ethics Policy. Both documents are reviewed annually. Complaints about alleged breaches of the Impress Standards Code are handled under our Complaints procedure.
